Manhattan 70mm Log Cottage
The warm and cosy interior of the Manhattan log cabin holiday chalet makes it ideal for leisure use - you could use it to put up guests, or as an amazing garden kid-zone. If you're looking for a stylish alternative to a caravan or static home the Manhattan would be a perfect choice. Inside, there's an open-plan design, with a mezzanine area reached by a ladder. This could be used as an extra storage space, or as a child's 'secret' hideaway. There are double-glazed windows at front and side, including a small window in the mezzanine area. The Manhattan is a traditional Log Cabin with apex roof, cylinder locking door, double glazed tilt and turn windows, veranda and mezzanine floor. The walls are 70mm Chalet cut logs, 19mm tongue and groove ceiling and 28mm tongue and groove floor. The roof has the option of a felt or shingles covering. The strong roof purlins are manufactured in laminated wood and the single door has a low threshold door sill with stainless steel protective capping and laminated frame. The cabin is supplied unfinished and can be stained or painted in any colour to suit. It has a manufacturer’s 5-year guarantee.

ManhattanThe cabin pieces on the pallet aren't packed as you would use the items, although they explained afterwards thta everything is packed to prevent damage. This enas that you have to unpack everything first. One gable end arrived with a split in it and was out of gauge due to this. This was easy enough to report it and it was rectified quickly and for free.

ManhattanI originally had felt on the roof but chose to replace them with shingles after the high winds ripped the felt off. I fitted these myself and it took me a day. Installation of the shingles was really tedious but makes the whole cabin look more expensive. for th effort you'll have to make afterwards when the felt blows off - AND IT WILL - spend a little more time and money on the felt shingles. They're brilliant.

ManhattanWell made and good value for money. There are nice attentions to detail that you get but don?t expect from a flat pack product and see in the pictures. Trims, skirting, spare logs and floor boards. They actually take into consideration that you might not get it right first time and damage something. I?d recommend Valkea anytime they made a job I was dreading and had no experience at seem easy.

ManhattanI've fitted many of the cabins or this company before i retired and have 2 of my own.My favourite in the pizza hut cabin and it's where you'll find me at weekends.My advice if you're fitting the cabin yourself is to unpack the whole pallet before you start and lay all of the same size pieces together.Then once unpacked familiar yourself with the pieces as you read the instructions.Do this first and you'll save yourself many hours of frustration.

ManhattanMagic from start to finish! We only have access from the back but the fitters were brilliant. The cabin was so well packed everything including glazed doors and windows all contained in that one pallet. I am more than pleased with the cabin which looks fantastic value for the money.

ManhattanIt was daunting to know I had to build a cabin which is something I had't done before. In fact I hadn't built anything for ages. However, I need not have worried. It was easy. The instructions were simple and everything went together like the Lego blocks i play with when my grandson is visiting. the whole project was very rewarding and made me feel very worthwhile. i had to ask my son in law to do the shingle roof as not am only am i afraid of heights i am 72 years old. It was a pleasure to help your company with this report and thank you for all of your assistance too.

ManhattanI would recommend a log cabin to anyone who has a garden. I also think Award Leisure is the best in the game. Their choice, knowledge, quality, value for money, honesty and accountability ? yes they actually do what they say and even acknowledge and accept blame to put right any issues. They are excellent from the moment you place your order to it being fitted. A self-assembly log cabin is one of the greatest inventions for the garden in modern times.

ManhattanSpent many nights reviewing log cabins and chose Valkea, mainly because of reviews feedback and price, plus it was the one I liked best. Ordering through to delivery all went well, goods arrived on time I found it easy to erect than I thought it. I am extremely pleased with our cabin.

ManhattanTop quality log cabin. Parts are made to precision and fit together like glue. I haven't seen one better yet. I have people living in mine and we rent the rooms out. We have aspirations to have the same versions in our proposed camping park around the lakes.
